IAB Wellness & Consulting offers culturally grounded retreats designed to counter the ongoing impact of oppression on Black and Brown communities. These experiences create equitable pathways for participants to access healing, joy, rest, and communal care through practices rooted in ancestral wisdom, somatic restoration, and culturally responsive wellness.
Our commitment to equity means ensuring that cost is never a barrier to healing. We actively seek resources, sponsors, and donations to support individuals who may not have the financial means to participate. With community partnership, we expand access to transformative spaces where Black and Brown folk can reconnect with themselves, each other, and the practices that sustain collective liberation.
Wombs of the Earth, Daughters of the Soil
Wombs of the Earth, Daughters of the Soil is an annual healing retreat for women of African descent, focused on nature and ancestral wisdom. It promotes rest, remembrance, and renewal through communal healing practices, storytelling, and rituals. Participants will honor their spiritual connection to the land and restore lost wisdom. I am Because We Are Healing Retreat
This powerful and restorative retreat is a bi-annual [odd years] sacred space for Men and Women of Afro-Indigenous descent to come together in the spirit of Ubuntu—I am Because We Are—to begin or deepen their healing journey. Grounded in ancestral wisdom and collective resilience, this retreat invites participants to examine and heal the fractures in our relationships, families, and communities caused by historical and internalized racism, colonialism, and oppression.
