Service Description
True wellness requires us to look beyond the label to the soil of a person’s experience. We invite you to an immersive workshop that honors the intersection of clinical insight and culturally rooted compassion. We will explore the landscape of mental health through a healing-centered lens, examining how trauma and environment shape our expressions of distress. Together, we will cultivate culturally responsive assessment practices and build treatment blueprints that don't just 'treat' a condition, but support restoration and strength within every individual. Our hope is that you begin to: Apply a trauma-informed lens to the DSM-5-TR major categories, specifically identifying how "survival behaviors" are often misidentified as personality pathology. Construct a collaborative treatment plan that prioritizes affect regulation and safety before moving into trauma processing or behavioral change. Utilize non-pathologizing, person-first language in clinical documentation to support a recovery-oriented narrative for the client.
